NOTES
Additional Information:This one and one half story, front gabled house was constructed c. 1920 and displays elements of the Rustic Style. Typical of the Rustic Style, the house features a half log exterior, located on the first story, and an exterior cut stone chimney, located on the north elevation. The upper half story has vertical wood siding. A stone retaining wall is located on either side of the driveway and along the north side of the property facing Munroe Avenue. Stone steps lead to a concrete path that connects to the portico on the east elevation. According to the current owner, the interior of the house does not contain any Rustic-Style treatments.

The house features a rock faced, concrete block foundation, and an asphalt shingle roof. A gabled roof dormer with replacement single pane windows exists on the east elevation and a small historic shed roof addition exists on the south elevation. Although the six over six windows in the gable end on the north elevation are original, the rest of the windows are one over one replacements. The multi pane picture window on the north elevation is also a replacement. Modern decorative spindle work is located on the gable end of the north elevation, on the gabled roof portico on the east elevation, and on the single bay garage on the north elevation. The gabled roof portico features exposed rafters and replacement columns, and the single bay garage has been enclosed and turned into an entryway. The property also contains a modern gabled roof garage.

Since 1992 the house has been used for commercial purposes by the Sand County Service Company, which offers vacation rentals, waterfront cottages, and condos.

This property was surveyed as part of WISDOT #5060-00-03.
