NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Resurveyed by UWM-CRM in 2021 as part of the CTH C reconstruction project (WisDOT ID 4930-07-71). This 2 ½ story Gabled Ell building was built around 1890. The lower walls are clad in painted asbestos shingles, and the front-facing gable is clad in wood with a decorative sunburst pattern topped with fishscale shingles. The original porch was replaced sometime after 2004. The original historic porch extended across the front elevation and two walls in the crook of the ell. The current porch was reduced in size to its current configuration on the front elevation and the original hipped roof and posts with brackets were replaced with the current square posts and shed roof. The original wood porch floor structure was also changed to a concrete ramp and access stairs. The building retains many of its original one-over-one double hung windows with modest flat Queen Anne-style trim. The first story also contains several modern double hung, hopper, and slider windows. A small round window with decorative quatrefoil mullions is located in the front gable.
