Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. This bank/basement barn is a large structure built in two sections, a late nineteenth century section and an early twentieth century dairy addition. The building features a fieldstone foundation under much of the barn but the addition has a concrete foundation. It contributes to the significance of the Kohl Farmstead because it is a relatively intact barn that shows the growth and development of this farmstead from grain growing to dairying. |
