These two silos represent the development of dairying on this farm. The 1912 silo is from the early dairy years and features an intact concrete roof. The 1947 silo is from the post-World War II era of expanded dairying. It has an intact metal roof. These structures contribute to the significance of the intact Kohl Farmstead because they are well preserved structures representing important agricultural functions on the twentieth century farm.
