Additional Information: | One of three adjacent buildings all built at the same time (see c.723, c.719) This is a one-story building of orange brick. It is separated from the other two buildings (AHI 128404 and 128405) by a brick party wall which terminates in a raised parapet. The entrance is located to the left, with two large display windows right of it. The entrance and windows have rough dressed stone lintels above them and a thin band of corbelled decorative brick in the parapet wall. Above that is a stone plaque with the word "Bank" inscribed. Built as the Hillsdale Bank, it later served as Hillsdale post office (ca.1947). |
