The Woodman State Bank is a one-story freestanding building constructed in 1917.[1] It has a rectangular plan, raised concrete foundation, and stucco-clad exterior. Based on historic photographs, the stucco appears to be the original cladding material, though likely has been touched up or re-done over time. [2] The facade is adorned with a pressed metal parapet and cornice featuring a segmental-arch nameplate reading “State Bank,” balustrade with small corner urns, paneled frieze with rosettes, and sawtooth molding. A large, single-pane display window is situated off-center on the right (south) side of the facade. This opening is original to the building, though a wood board has been fitted into the top of the frame that covers the top half of the window. A concrete stoop accesses the raised entry door, located opposite the display window. The panel door appears to date from the historic period, but the transom opening has been downsized to fit an air conditioning unit and a vinyl screen door has been installed. The north side of the building has two, one-over-one, wood sash windows, while the window openings on the south side have been filled with concrete block. The interior of the building could not be accessed at the time of survey.

Overall, the building has retained integrity. Defining historical elements of the facade have not been altered, including the window and door configuration, decorative parapet and cornice, and stucco-clad front. Apart from the infilled window.
