Additional Information: | In 1910, Julius began working in the real estate and insurance profession. He did this until his death in 1916. In 1919, Emma sold the house to Clarence R. Hathaway, owner and publisher of the Hartford Times-Press. He lived here until 1923, when he sold the house to George and Jennie Wells. They lived here until 1927. The house was then owned by George and Lydia Place. They lived here until the late 1950s. He was the secretary-treasurer of the W.B. Place and Co. tannery. |
