Additional Information:Gettelman obtained his degree from the Chicago Vetrinary College in 1907. He worked for the U.S. Bureau of Animal Industry in both Chicago and Milwaukee before moving to Hartford. In 1913, he purchased the former office and house of A.L. Wright, also a veterinarian, at 264 W. Sumner St. He moved to this house in 1921. Gettelman was a member of the American Veterinary Association and served a term as president of the Veterinary Southeast Wisconsin Association. He owned this property until he died in 1966.
