Additional Information: | Established in circa 1946, the Twin Waters Resort consists of a clapboard-sheathed house/office, a vertical log constructed game room and six cottages (two of vertical log and the remaining four of manufactured half log. Two additional cottages to the east were originally part of the property; however, they were later sold off. Except for the house/office, all interiors are knotty pine and all exterior sheathings are original. After serving in WWII, Twin Waters Resort was begun in circa 1946 by Mr. Kant, an engineer from Milwaukee. Kant maintained the property into the 1950s. Kelly Newton, owner for the last eight years had purchased it from George and Lois Reudiger, who now operate the nearby St. Germain Lodge and Resort. During interior renovations, Newton identified that at least one of the cabins was built in 1946. |
