Additional Information: | Consisting of a main house/office, six cabins (mostly of vertical half-log construction), three ranch type structures--all of which combine for a total of thirteen rental units--as well as a game room and shed, this resort was established by Esther and Harold Gessert in 1941. the combination of both of their first names resulted in the name "Estrold." harold was reportedly an Industrial Arts teacher from Janesville. In 1969, the resort was sold to the Cox family, who condoed the property. Management of the condominium property was purchased by current operator Ron Mackowski in 2000. |
