NOTES
Additional Information:This resort consists of eleven cottages that are variously sheathed with log, clapboard or drop siding. The house on the premises was built in 2002. The original house/office is this building (Photo Code 21/36a; AHI#132796). This property, which originally consisted of nine cottages, was built in circa 1940 by Max Bueschel. Bueschel was reportedly a baker from Milwaukee and moved here with his family for medical reasons. The next owner had the property for just 8 months and then Cecil Jr. and Collene Ray purchased it 1956. The Rays were from Wea Township, Indiana, where Cecil was a farmer and Collene taught music. In the 1960s, two cottages were added and just two years ago, Collene had the house built. Cecil died in 1988 and Collene continues to run the resort.
