The William Black Farmhouse, built in 1937, is a two-story, side gable residence with a fieldstone foundation, vinyl replacement siding, and asphalt-shingled roof with an interior brick chimney. The front (south) facade features a central main entrance sheltered by a pedimented portico supported by decorative brackets. A two-bay garage is located at the basement level of the side (east) elevation, with walls built of a mixture of fieldstone and concrete block. A wood balcony is located in the center of the second story on the rear (north) elevation. Windows are a mix of three-over-one wood and replacement sashes and are grouped in pairs on the front facade.
The property also contains a large number of agricultural buildings including barns, hog houses, a corncrib, and granary, as well as ancillary buildings including a windmill, well house, and privy. A Determination of Eligibility (DOE) was prepared in 2004 and the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) concurred with the eligibility recommendation (WHS Project Number 01-0972). The farmstead complex has not changed since that time.
