Additional Information:The Steel Shoe Co. was run by Joseph Kabaker and Nathan Ruthstein. By 1916, it was run solely by Ruthstein and the Wisconsin Machinery Co. was also housed here. The south half of the building was built ca. 1920. Shortly thereafter the shoe company disappeared and the structure remained a machine shop.
