Additional Information: | This two-story house is sheathed with what is believed to be an unoriginal stucco exterior. The hipped roof with lower cross gables is covered with asphalt shingles and displays overhanging eaves. Fish-scale shingles and window openings are located in the gable ends. Windows are a combination of fixed with leaded glass headers and one-over-one, double-hung sash with simple wood surrounds. A low-pitched hipped roof porch is located on the front (north) facade. The porch displays an enclosed balustrade with piers supporting arched openings. The roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features a pediment covered with fish-scale shingles above the front entryway. The rear (south) elevation features a one-story hipped roof addition with a small partially enclosed entrance porch. this building features two outbuildings. A c. 1915 raised barn is east of the house on the opposite side of USH 14 and features a cut limestone foundation, gambrel rood with metal ridge ventilator, hay hood, and horizontal wood siding. A modern metal pole building is located behind the house. |
