NOTES
Additional Information:City directories indicate that this house was was built in either 1900 or 1901. Edward D. Seltzer is listed as the original owner. Mr Seltzer was manager of Silurian Mineral Spring Company. Directories also indicate that over the next fifteen years Edward, Edwin, Hattie and Minnie Seltzer resided at this address (not necessarily concurrently). Edwin Seltzer was employed as a cashier at the Waukesha Canning Company. By 1919 John P. and Elizabeth Stanton occupied the house. John Stanton worked in the real estate field and as a salesman selling silos and milking machines. Attorney Herman R. Salen and his wife Anabel owned the property from the mid-1920s to the mid-1940s. By 1940 Anabel Salen is listed as Vice President of the Clarke Drug Company. Following the Salen's ownership, the house was alternately occupied by Mrs. Sara Estberg (no occupation listed) and Henry Hinterkopf, production engineer with the Wilbur Lumber Company. City directories indicate that the residence was vacant in 1955.
