CRENELLATED TOWER, CORNICE. ROUND ARCH WINDOWS W/TRACERY. STAINED GLASS WINDOWS. 1ST ENGLISH LANGUAGE LUTHERAN CHURCH IN PREDOMINANTLY GERMAN COMMUNITY.

"In 1908 Gustav A. Boerner offered the members of Advent the present site to build a new church with the stipulation that they construct an edifice valued at not less than $5,000. The young congregation proceeded to build Advent Lutheran Church constructed of coursed rock-faced ashler limestone in English Gothic style. It was the first church in heavily German-populated Cedarburg to conduct services in English. The brick educational center to the rear was added in 1962. The south addition was built in 1984 featuring carefully matched stone." A Walk Through Yesterday in Cedarburg
