"The largest late-Victorian mansion in Cedarburg, this home belonged to proprietor of a grocery and general merchandise store, Leopold Jochem. Its eclectic design incorporates elements of Romanesque, Queen Anne and Classical Revival styles. It is built of red pressed brick on a stone foundation and lavishly ornamented with lead potmetal and prism glass windows, shingle siding, wooden moldings and sculptured terra cotta."
