| Additional Information: | HEAVY MOULDED CORNICE W/RETURNED EAVES. 2 ROUND ARCH WINDOWS IN GABLE. DESCRIPTION This house is a two and one-half story Greek Revival buidling constructed of stone and coverd with stucco. The steeply-pitched gable roof has returned eaves. Windows are symmetrically placed on the facade and are combination of six-over-six light single-pane double-hung sashes. In the gable peaks are small round arch windows. The front entrace is coved by a plain flat overhang supported by two large brick posts. This overhang is a nodern addition. Also on the property is a gambrel roofed barn with board siding and a fieldstone foundation. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND This property was owned by N. Guildinger between 1857 and 1867 and by John Guidinger between 1876 and 1900. |
