NOTES
Additional Information:This property includes a farmhouse, a large bank barn, a frame shed/garage and two additional frame outbuildings. According to plat maps this property was owned by J. Jost in 1873 and a structure is depicted on the parcel. Based on appearance, this house dates to circa 1880; therefore it may have been built by Jost or perhaps by John Klug, the next known owner per the 1892 map. John Klug is noted as the properties owner until at least 1948.

September 2005-
This farmstead consists of a farmhouse, barn, large frame shed/garage and two smaller frame outbuildings. The cream brick gabled ell farmhouse, which is largely obscured by foliage, features an open, shed-roof porch with turned supports and a spindled frieze (that may or may not be original). The porch wall is a replacement and is constructed of fieldstone and shelters an entrance and at least two sash windows. The front-facing (south) gabled wing includes a large, multiple-pane picture window with a short pent above. The second level of this wing features a pair of segmental-arched openings with brick sills and that have been infilled with rectangular, replacement windows. Windows throughout the remainder of the home appear to be multiple-light sash replacements. A large gambrel roof, bank barn is located to the east of the house; the basement is constructed of fieldstone, while the upper level is covered with board siding. A smaller frame outbuilding with six-over-six light windows stands adjacent to the barn on the south, while a small pumphouse structure is located closest to the roadway. An additional frame shed/garage is located behind the house.

Based on its appearance, this house was likely constructed in circa 1880. Plat maps indicate that the owner of the property in 1873 was J. Jost. By 1892, the parcel was under the ownership of John Klug, who retained the property until at least 1948. No significant biographical information could be found on either Jost or Klug.
