Additional Information:WILBUR M. JOHNSON WAS A PARTNER IN THE McCAIN-JOHNSON DEPARTMENT STORE AND HIS WIFE, LUICLLE BLODGETT JOHNSON, WAS THE DAUGHTER OF C. E. BLODGETT. THE COUPLE'S SECOND HOUSE IS LOCATED AT 806 W. FIFTH ST.

2005-
Largest and latest of American Craftsman style houses in this district. Rectilinear plan wit 2-story main block and 2-story porch ell attached to its east-facing elevation. Exterior walls of both sections are clad in tan brick. Poured concrete foundation. Each section has a similarly designed roof: Shallow-pith, hipped, with wide overhanging eaves supported by exposed rafter ends.

The principal (north-facing) facade is symmetrical, 3 bays wide, and features grouped 3-over3-light double-hung windows that flank the main entrance door. This door itself is flanked by sidelights and is sheltered by a hip-roofed canopy, above which is placed a three-sided oriel window.
