Additional Information:This property includes a house, bank barn, modern garage, two concrete stave silos and two wire corn cribs.

This property is believed to have been built by George Denslein (owner since circa 1860). Between 1879 and 1885, it is noted as under the ownership of Nicholas Lorenz (who was married to a Cora Denslein). Lorenz retained ownership until no later than 1916, when Abram Rauwerdink is noted as the owner. Abram retained ownership until at least 1941. He died in 1979.

Historical/Architectural Survey:
Heritage Research Ltd., 2005

The first owner of this parcel is identified as German immigrant George Denslein. Denslein built the first house on this property by no later than 1860; however, the exterior appearance of the existing house was likley achieved circa 1880. In 1882, Denslein's daughter Cora married Nicholas Lorenz and the young couple took over farming operations shortly thereafter. Nicholas, who was born in 1859, was the son of Henry and Katherine (Kircher) Lorenz, who moved down the road from the Densleins. Nicholas and his family remained at the subject farm until 1911, when they moved to Sheboygan Falls. Nicholas died in 1946 at the age of Eighty-Seven. The next known owner of the farm was Abram Rauwerdink, who was born in the Town of Lima in 1886. Abram and his wife Ella (Bos) were married in 1911 and together they remained on the farm until their deaths in 1979 and 1962, respectively. In addition to farming, Abram served on the Lima Center Board for twenty-two years. The farm is currently owned by Daniel Sukowaty.
