Additional Information: | 1998- The Appleton USARC consists of 3 buildings on approximately 4 acres of land. The buildings include a training and administration building (this entry), an Organizational Maintenance Shop (AHI # 0138619 )and a general warehouse building (AHI #0138620 ). The training and administration building was constructed in 1958. It is a 2-story rectangular building with a single story addition added in 1984. The building has a poured reinforced concrete foundation. The walls were originally constructed with concrete block and faced with brick. In 1984 the building was retrofitted with earthquake-proof siding that covered the original surface with steel girders, which were in then covered with aluminum siding. Part of the 1984 addition remains faced with brown brick. The roof is flat. The building features a glass atrium at its entrance as well as banks of casement windows. |
