NOTES
Additional Information:November 2000-Constructed into the side of a natural slope, this circa-1910s, two-story gabled ell rises from a stucco-clad foundation and is sheathed in clapboard. Its roof is covered with asphalt shingles and the eave junction carries a plain wooden cornice. The main (west) elevation is dominated by a hipped-roof porch that is partially enclosed with wooden sheet siding. The open portion exhibits a wooden, square-post railing that appears to be a modern replacement. Underneath the porch is a concrete foundation wall pierced by a basement entry door. The north facade carries an open, flat-roof porch within the ell junction. The south elevation is defined by single-story, historic-period, shed-roof addition. Fenestration throughout consists of a mix of single-pane, fixed windows and one-over-one, double-hung sashes. A modern, two-car garage is also located on the property.

An examination of the deed information suggests that this property was constructed in 1914 for John Krappe. In 1932, Krappe sold the tract to John Carlson. The next owner was Louisa Guse, who purchased the residence in1943; Guse later sold the property to Arthur Schmidt in 1951. Research revealed no information on any of these individuals.
