Additional Information: | 1998- The Eau Claire Army Reserve maintenance support facility consists of 1 building on approximately 2 acres of land. The building consists of two sections that share a portion of one wall. The building functions as a vehicle maintenance facility. The original building was constructed in 1972 as a 1½-story, corrugated metal building with a poured concrete foundation and a flat roof. Two metal overhead-retractable bay doors are located on the east wall. Additional entrances include two metal pedestrian doors with central lights. Fenestrations are four small sliding windows near the roofline on the east and south walls. An addition was made to the west side in 1978. This consisted of a rectangular one-story corrugated metal building with steel I-beams and a poured concrete foundation. Five metal overhead retractable bay doors are located on the south wall. Additional doors include metal pedestrian doors. A low-pitch gable roof covers the addition. The building is in good condition, but has no significant architectural character or merit. The area immediately surrounding the building is covered with a base course silicate. The land has been significantly altered by construction activities, landscaping, and grading for parking areas. The facility is located in a mixed-use, industrial-residential area. |
