NOTES
Additional Information:1998-
Ellsworth USARC consists of four buildings located on 2.5 acres of land in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. The area immediately surrounding the buildings is covered by asphalt or concrete. The land has been significantly altered, with the majority of the property covered by hard packed dirt and only small areas of grass. A small unnamed stream runs behind the facility. Ellsworth USARC is located in a commercial-residential area.

The facility is leased by the U.S. Government and controlled by the 88th RSC.

A records search at the Wisconsin State Historic Preservation Office revealed one archaeological site (47-PI-119) within a one-mile radius of the facility. Ellsworth USARC property has been heavily disturbed by construction activities, with much of the property paved or graded. An on-site assessment determined that there is a low probability of extant archaeological remains on the property.

Ellsworth USARC consists of an administration Building ("Reserve Center" in Army Reserve terminology), a Drill Hall, an Organizational Maintenance Shop, and a storage building.

The maintenance shop (this listing, and Organizational Maintenance Shop or OMS in Army Reserve terminology)is a one-story corrugated steel structure constructed circa 1970, that rests on a poured concrete foundation and has a flat roof. Two metal overhead, retractable bay doors are located on the west wall and a single metal pedestrian door is located on the north wall. There are no windows in the building.

The building does not appear to have been significantly modified since its original construction. It does not exhibit any significant architectural character or merit.
