Captain G.B. Demsey U.S. Army Reserve Center consists of two buildings on four acres of land. The area immediately surrounding the buildings is mostly covered by asphalt or concrete, except for a small area of lawn in front of the training building. The land has been significantly altered by construction activities and grading for parking areas. The facility is located in a mixed-use urban area.

The buildings on the property are owned by the U.S. Government and controlled by the 88th RSC. Land associated with the facility is leased.

The buildings are in good condition. The training building was modified in 1974, but there appears to have been no significant modifications to the maintenance shop since its original construction. Neither of the buildings exhibit significant architectural character or merit.

The training building functions as an administrative and drill facility for Demsey USARC. Originally constructed in 1959 as a one story rectangular administration building, in 1974 it was modified into an irregular-shaped structure consisting of a one-story administration section connected to a two-story drill hall and a one-story firing range by a one-story enclosed corridor.

The building rests on a poured concrete foundation and has concrete block walls with a brown brick veneer. A projecting entrance containing a glass pedestrian door and covered by a low-pitched gable roof is located on the east wall of the administration section. Single metal pedestrian doors are located around the perimeter of the building. A metal overhead-retractable bay door is located on the drill hall. Four windows are located on the east wall of the administration section. A mid-slope chimney is located on the south half of the administration section. Low-pitched gable roofs cover the administration section, enclosed corridor, and drill hall. A flat roof covers the firing range.
