Additional Information: | 1998- The Sheboygan USARC consists of two buildings located on four acres of land in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The area immediately surrounding the buildings is mostly covered by asphalt or concrete, with a landscaped area near the buildings and an open grassy area to the rear of the property. The land has been significantly altered by construction activities and grading for the parking areas. The facility is located in a mixed-use commercial-residential area. The facility is owned by the U.S. Government and controlled by the 88th RSC. The Sheboygan USARC consists of a training building and a maintenance building (OPrganizational Maintenance Shop or OMS in Army Reserve terminology). The buildings are in good condition and do not appear to have been significantly modified since their original construction. Neither of them exhibit significant architectural character or merit. The maintenance building functions as a vehicle maintenance facility for the William F. Fale USARC. Constructed in 1958, it is a one-story rectangular structure that rests on a poured concrete foundation and has concrete block walls with a brick veneer. Brick pilasters are located around the perimeter of the building. Two metal overhead-retractable bay doors are located on the west wall and a single metal pedestrian door is located on the north wall. A shed roof covers the structure. |
