Additional Information: | September 2006-This large former ballroom consists of an arched roof core flanked by flat roof wings. The right (south) wing dominates the building and features a curious six-sided, steeple like projection over its main entrance. The wing is covered in faux brick paneled sheathing and pierced by a series of regularly placed, replacement one over one, paired double hung sashes. The roof features a Mansard-like parapet covered with wooden shingles. The arched roof block is constructed of concrete block and exhibits a stepped down parapet on its main (west) elevation. The lower part of this facade is obscured by a dilapidated, wooden, shed-roof entry block. The north (left) wing is constructed of concrete block and displays a slight parapet topped with tile coping. A small, wood sheathed gabled entry is attached to the main (west) facade. Assessor records indicated that this former bar/ballroom was built in 1960. May 2017: No significant changes have occurred to this property since it was surveyed in 2006. It is now known as the "Abandoned Haunted House Complex." |
