NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. In photo and/or map codes, (B) stands for Bridge Survey. Negatives filed with survey project. 2024: The Woodford Drive Bridge was constructed by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company in 1891. It is a single-span, six-panel, wrought-iron Pratt thru truss and carries a single lane with a timber and steel plate deck surface. It has cut stone abutments with wing walls. The bridge has horizontal, lateral bracing between the upper chords, and vertical and diagonal members connecting the upper and lower chords. The diagonal members are angled towards the center of the bridge, which is representative of the Pratt design. The truss members are connected to the flanges by six hangar connections on both side (northwest and southeast) elevations. The flanges are connected to the steel stringers on the bridge underside. The connections are bolted and riveted. Metal fences are located on both ends to block passage over the bridge, which has been closed to traffic for several years. No alterations are apparent besides a deck replacement in 1974 and removal of bridge plaques sometime after 1977. Overhead truss bridge
