NOTES
Additional Information:Building 507 was constructed as the airfield lighting control vault during the mid-1950s expansion of Volk Field CRTC into a permanent training site for Air National Guard units. Building 507 is a one-story concrete-block building finished with exterior insulation finishing system (i.e., dryvit). The building measures 17 x 34 feet with a 10-foot addition on the rear elevation. The flat roof has a projecting eave across the front elevation that is supported by corbelled side walls. The roof has metal coping. A single metal door is located in the front (south) elevation. Two small window openings containing glass block are located in the east and west elevations. A one-story addition constructed in 1974 spans the rear (north) elevation. The addition has a metal door on the west end. The current exterior appearance dates from the late 1990s.
