The Wisconsin Rapids Armory was also designed by Lt. Col. Henry Hengles and is nearly identical to the facility in Platteville. It is an example of the Art Deco style of architecture, albeit a restrained example, and remains largely intact - its replacement windows notwithstanding. The Wisconsin Rapids Armory exhibits a good degree of historical integrity and is a fine example of an early World War II armory.
