NOTES
Additional Information:This ammunition storage structure is a steel barrel arch that rests on a concrete foundation wall and has a concrete floor. The structure measures 25 x 16 feet. The front wall is solid concrete that contains paired heavy metal doors with exterior hinges. The structure is covered with earth, and metal vents project from the top of the grassy berm. The structure was built from standardized plans dated 1952 that were prepared by Ronald S. Senseman, Architect and Engineer, Washington, D.C. The plans were provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the FY1955-1956 construction program when the installation was expanded into a permanent training site for Air National Guard units. The plans were site adapted by John J. Flad & Associates and Mead & Hunt, Inc., Architects & Engineers, Madison, Wisconsin.
