Additional Information: | A 'site file' (Bedrud-Olson Farmstead) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 1999- 2-story, gabled building. First floor constructed of stone, slightly below grade and completely exposed on the western side. Building is oriented roughly parallel to the older two curing sheds and stands directly west of them across a driveway. Building has drop lap siding on upper level, asphalt-shingled roof, and a small cream brick chimney rising from the east end. Building has a bay entrance with double wood doors on its eastern end. This entrance is surmounted by a small wood awning which is somewhat deteriorated. The building has a series of fixed, six-light windows on the upper level, and the eastern gable end has two 2-over-2, double-hung windows on the lower level. There is a pedestrian entrance on both the north and south sides, each with a single door of drop lap siding. the building represents a significant part of the tobacco farm operation during the period of significance and currently is highly intact. |
