NOTES
Additional Information:Was 5223-25 W. Greenfield before address shift in 1932. Construction date is from Assessor's records.

2015- Resting on a rough-cut limestone foundation, this two-story, brick building has an entrance on its canted corner. Decorative features of the building include its brick corbeling, ornamental limestone caps and limestone lintels, sills and beltcourse. A number of first story window openings have been infilled. Otherwise, fenestration is modern.

Built circa 1903, Peter H. Burbach operated a tavern in the subject building. Originally referred to as "The Junction Saloon," the tavern served Blatz beer. During the 1920s, Burbach operated an auto supply business in the building. By 1940, it was again used as a tavern with Charles H. Petranech as proprietor. Ten years later, it was referred to as the "Triangle Tap."

It has a rectangular footprint, roughcut stone foundation, brick exterior with stone details, and parapet roof with a gable, stone coping, brick corbelling, and other decorative detailing. The primary entrance is situated at the corner of the building, which is angled toward the sixpoint intersection of W. National Avenue, W. Greenfield Avenue, and S. 62nd Street. The entrance is a modern aluminumframe double door with a large single-light transom. The building’s north elevation is substantially altered with vertical vinyl siding, replacement windows, and boarded-up window openings. The west elevation also has replacement windows and boarded-up window openings."
