Additional Information: | 2007- "Located on the north side of WIS 29 Uust east of WIS 49), this farmstead is comprised of a residence, arched-roof barn, modern pole barn, and poultry house. The residence is a ca. 1943 Bungalow sided in vinyl. It rests on a cement block foundation, and was apparently moved from its original foundation (per owner). The asphalt-shingle roof is largely side-gabled and features a large shed-roof dormer. Although the front door appears to be original, all of the current windows are vinyl replacements. A ca. 1915 arched-roof barn is located northwest of the Bungalow. It is primarily of stone construction but portions of the barn are sided in aluminum, which presumably hides some frame construction. A small one-story, hipped-gable roof addition is appended to the south elevation of the barn, and a silo is attached to the west elevation. Exterior alterations include glassblock window additions and replacement doors. Located directly north of the residence and east of the barn are two additional outbuildings, a poultry house and modern pole barn. The frame poultry house is sided with asphalt and has a gable-roof with asphalt shingles. It was likely constructed ca. 1915. The structure retains its original double-hung wood windows but has replaced doors. The modern pole barn is located directly north of the poultry house." -"Ringle, Bevent, Hatley, Misson Lake, Birnamwood, Wittenburg", WisDOT #1053-09-06, Prepared by Rachel Bankowitz, (2007). THIS FARMSTEAD IS COMPRISED OF A RESIDENCE, ARCHED-ROOF BARN, MODERN POLE BARN, AND POULTRY HOUSE. HOUSE HAS A CONCRETE BLOCK FOUNDATION, AND HAS REPORTEDLY BEEN MOVED (PER 2007 OWNER). ALL WINDOWS REPLACED. NORTHWEST OF THE BUNGALOW IS A CA. 1915 ARCHED-ROOF BARN CONSTRUCTED PRIMARILY OF STONE. PORTIONS OF THE STRUCTURE ARE SIDED IN ALUMINUM, WHICH LIKELY HIDES SOME FRAME CONSTRUCTION. THE BARN HAS BEEN ALTERED BY ADDITIONS OF GLASSBLOCK WINDOWS AND REPLACED DOORS. THE CA. 1915 POULTRY HOUSE IS SIDED WITH ASPHALT AND HAS A GABLE-ROOF. THE STRUCTURE RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL DOUBLE-HUNG WOOD WINDOWS BUT HAS REPLACED DOORS. |
