NOTES
Additional Information:2007-
This one-story Ranch style house was built in 1953. It has an irregular plan designed along two axes resulting in an angled facade that takes advantage of the house#25;s corner lot. The effect is a relatively large front yard and an increased sense of distance from these two busy streets. The house is clad in concrete block of various sizes and colors laid in random horizontally-oriented courses. The blocks were manufactured by Hemstock Brothers Concrete Products of Sparta. The main facade also features a decorative panel of wood parquetry. A low-pitched hip roof provides a broad overhanging eave and features a prominent, centrally located stone chimney. The main entrance is situated in the center of the angled facade and features a single door flanked by sidelights. The entrance is sheltered by a wide low-pitched portico supported by two painted wrought iron pillars. The house features wood casement windows with and stone sills. A two-car garage is attached to the side elevation. The paneled garage door features three narrow horizontal windows and multiple horizontal panels with a raised meander pattern. Three glass block windows are located on the side of the garage.
