Additional Information: | Listed as Pine Grove Place on 1895 plat map. Built for A.J. Campbell, who farmed the 195 acre parcel which was referred to as Pine Grove Place. In 1899, Dennis J. Morris and his wife Emma bought the property that then consisted of 120 acres. Morris engaged in farming for a few years before establishing a farm implement business in Richland Center. By 1919, the farm was owned by Francis M. Sheafor and his wife Sallie. Sheafor was formerly from Akan Township (Richland County) where he farmed and bred cattle and swine. Buildings on this property listed in the AHI are: home (146461), barn (146481), agricultural outbuildings (146482 and 146484), and machine shed (146483). |
