| Additional Information: | Other map codes for this building are WT 20/21, found on the DOT West Bend map, and WT 43/1, found on the City Map. This one story Greek Revival styled building at 459 North Main Street features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a stone foundation, a brick exterior, a brick and wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Decorative brickwork distinguishes the cornice and wide brick eave returns appear in the open gable end. Lining the eaves are scroll cut brackets, each detailed with a pendant. The windows have one-over-one panes and projecting sills. The front entrance is centered on the facade and is embellished by a massive round arched and moulded brick opening. The rear elevation has a parapet rising above the roofline. The astylistic utilitarian brewery building at 445-467 North Main Street is made with an irregular shaped plan configuration, a stone foundation, a brick exterior, a brick trim and a flat roof. The structure rises two and four stories and has had additions. The currently named R. T. Miller building is used as retail space and is in fair condition. This former brewery produced such lables as 'Lithia' and 'Old Times.' The brewery was started by Christopher Eckstein and later was taken over by Adam Kuehlthau. It merged with West Bend Brewing Co. and closed in 1972. Demolished between 2023 and 2024. |
