Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property titled "Lloyd-Jones, James, Farmstead". It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. Built by Tracy Lockman, the house was a reproduction of a Company house that Mr. Lockman and his wife Flavia had resided in in the nearby village of Helena. In 1883, the house was sold to James Lloyd-Jones, uncle to Frank Lloyd-Wright. Lloyd-Wright spent his summers working on this farm from 1883 to 1887. The house was sold in 1944 to Lloyd-Wright's son-in-law William Wesley Peters and his wife Svetlana. Peters sold the property to John Benton in 1975 who in turn sold it to Robert Graves in 1979. |
