It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History.

This cabin was built in 1925 for ten priests, one of whom was Bishop Bona. Eventually, Bishop Bona was awarded sole ownership of the property which he then deeded to his brother, Adam Bona.

Bishop Bona was Bishop of Green Bay from 1945 to 1967. In 1961, he collaborated with Vince Lombardi to establish the Green Bay Packers Bishop's Charity Game, which is played every year before the football season begins.

Parts of the original chapel and altar that were in the house, remain. The original privy is extant and is being used as a storage shed (2008).
