NOTES
Additional Information:BELIEVED TO BE OLDEST STANDING BLDG IN WILMOTWOOD SHINGLED PORCH PEDIMENTMOULDED EAVES 2022 - This Vernacular house was constructed in 1847. Built into the slope of a hill, the primary one-story elevation faces southeast, with a two-story secondary elevation on the southwest side. The house is constructed of brick with a rubble stone foundation and hipped, asphalt-shingled roof. The main entrance is located within a screened in porch projecting from the center of the primary elevation. The house and porch feature a wide plain cornice, and the shingled pediment above the porch entrance has been covered or removed. Original porch supports within the screened enclosure also appear to have been removed. Windows throughout are one-over-one double hung replacements within openings that have been shortened and filled in with wooden panels. The two-story secondary elevation on the southwest side was not visible due to foliage and tree cover, though a one-story sunroom attached to this elevation appears through aerial photos to be extant.
