Additional Information: | THE FIRST STORY OF THE MAIN FACADE OF THIS TWO-STORY COMMERCIAL BUILDING HAS NOW BEEN LARGELY ALTERED BUT THE SECOND STORY, INCLUDING THE SIMPLE CORBELLED BRICK CORNICE, IS STILL INTACT. 2008- "This two-story-tall, trapezoidal plan Commercial Vernacular form building has a main facade that faces south onto W. Main St. and this fagade is faced in tan brick. This facade's original first story display windows and entrance doors have now been replaced with modern ones and a modern pent roof has now been placed across the full width of the facade just above them. The second story, however, is still largely intact, as is the fagade's simple corbelled brick cornice. The building's side elevations are largely covered over by adjacent buildings, but those potions that are visible are clad in rock-faced concrete block." -"Waunakee 7.5 Quad", WisDOT#5290-01-02, Prepared by Timothy F. Heggland, (2008). |
