The Amherst Mill was built in c. 1858 and has been expanded several times since. It rises 2 ? stories and has a side-gabled standing seam metal roof. A small one-story wing projects from the south (main) elevation and a square ventilation cupola is located at the ridge. Portions of the building are clad in wooden clapboard while other sections have been covered with aluminum siding or corrugated metal. Although most of the original window openings are present, nearly all have been covered with wood or translucent panels. At the time of survey, a large portion of the roof had collapsed near the center of the building.

Razed in January 2009.
