NOTES
Additional Information:Walworth Memorial Library was built in 1957 and is the first free-standing building built in the village to serve solely as a library. The first library was opened in 1939 in a corner of the Masonic Hall on Kenosha Street; later that year it was moved to the Binstock Building, also located on Kenosha Street (exact location inknown). In 1950, the facility was moved to space above the Brown and Loftus Drug Store located on the east side of the Village Square. Just three years later, following a bequest from the estate of Mrs. Albert Wareham, the library board purchased the subject Maple Street lot for $1,500. With additional donations from the Church family, the subject library building was completed in February 1957. Since its construction, the building#25;s original flat roof has been altered to the current gabled roofline. As well, steel letters originally rose from the roofline and identified the building as the WALWORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY. Although plans for a new facility have been underway for a few years, the subject building continues to serve as the community library
