Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Pamperin Park" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. This ell-shaped pavilion featured finished fieldstone walls, buttresses, and a steeply pitched roof. The mortar contains archaeological artifacts and fossils. Two large, vinyl-sided dormers are original features that were modified in 1996. Due to rot, the roofing system was replaced in 1954 with laminated wood beams supported by metal tie rods. A garage and deck have also been added to the pavilion. Some of the openings have been infilled with stone or glass block; the remainder have metal casement windows or wood doors. The interior includes two large halls, a smaller bar area, and a restroom. A stage in the northern hall originally rotated for indoor and outdoor use. It appears as a copper dome on the exterior. |
