NOTES
Additional Information:This gabled ell house was constructed c. 1890 for Felix Poels, owner of a local quarry and two local farms. The house is clad in red-orange brick and has a modern composite shingle roof. The main block rises one and one-half stories; the ell is one story, with a small vinyl-sided, shed-roofed addition to the front and a larger brick addition to the rear. Two tall windows and the original front door are present in the first story of the main portion; a pair of windows is centered in the gable above. All openings retain their original Italianate brick segmental-arched hood moulds. However, the original arched windows have been replaced with flat-top modern replacements. In addition, the original front door has been covered over with horizontal metal siding.
