NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Operated as an opera house from 1915 until George Gerold passed away in 1932. A bar called The Jungle Room operated out of the front room during the 1920s. In 1942, a nephew moved his family into the building and converted parts of it into living space while other parts continued to host town functions. During the 1960s and 1970s, various businesses operated out of the building including a jewelry store, an ice cream shop, and an insurance company. The Weyauwega Arts Organization purchased the property in 2007 and have been restoring the theater. It is once again being used as a movie/theater/concert space. The storefront is now an art gallery. Builders were Gerald & Zimdars.
