Additional Information: | Two story Queen Anne house. Front porch has been altered, but house retains its clapboard siding and shingles in gables. 2009- "This Queen Anne-style house was constructed around 1895. The two-story house is front gabled, with smaller cross gables and a modern composition shingle roof. The house is clad in clapboards, with wood corner boards, skirting board, and window casings. Decoratively cut shingles are present in the gables. Fenestration is irregular and consists of one-over-one double hungs, arranged singly or grouped in threes. At the time of survey, most windows had metal storm windows on them. The front door is centered in the elevation and consists of an historic wood and glass door covered with a modern steel storm door. A one-story hipped roof porch extends across most of the street front. This porch has a small shingled pediment supported on Tuscan columns on a raised concrete stoop at the front door; another half-column is attached to the wall at the roof return. The remainder of the original porch floor and columns have been removed, and the roof is currently supported on 6x6 posts resting directly on the ground." -"CTH KB: CTH R to Prospect St", WisDOT#4538-04-71, Prepared by Justin Miller, (2009). |
