Additional Information: | Fox River Valley Survey. NAER INVENTORY (08/1979): The structure stands on the site of a cheese plant, built in 1904 and destroyed by fire in 1914. The present structure was built in 1915 by Herman Karnopp. It is constructed of brick and contains two vats. In 1920-1922 Otto Karnopp operated the business. In 1923 Walter Stecker bought the plant and operation. In 1932 the Pauly Corporation took over ownership of the building. Walter Stecker continued to run the factory. In 1935 Stecker bought the factory back under the title of the Stecker Corporation. Art Clarksen acquired the factory in 1928. In 1954 the factory was purchased by the present owner Harry J.
