NOTES
Additional Information:This cream brick Gabled Ell house stands on the east side of CR E, 0.3 miles north of Northside Drive. Its date of construction could not be confirmed in the WHPD or by county assessor records. The house is representative of a late 19th century residence in a restrained Georgian style in brick cladding that is typical for the local area. It exhibits distinctive features including brick pilasters, wood shutters and arched lintels, and front porch. The porch has been enclosed. In the 1899 atlas, this 163.3-acre parcel was owned by the E.R. Adams Estate. Homestead/building sites were indicated here and directly across the street to the east. C.B. Adams owned and homesteaded the parcel in the 1919 atlas. The Adams family was not listed in the patrons’ directory in either atlas. In the 1937 aerial photograph, this house and several nonextant farm buildings were evident here.
